Welcome to Walnut Grove  United Methodist Church. It has pretty much what you would expect to find on a website – maybe more than we need, but we just want folks to understand who we are and get a sense of us. The best way to find out about us is to visit. I hope you will. I think you will find us inviting and welcoming – but then again, as the  Pastor, I’m probably biased!

If you come, we promise not to single you out, and we promise you a comfortable place alongside folk just like you as we seek to follow God and where God leads in our personal lives and in our life together as a church.

We believe that every congregation that lifts up Jesus as Lord and Savior needs to help people CONNECT with God, each other and the community; open opportunities for folks to SERVE Jesus as we share his love with our community; create opportunities to learn and GROW in our faith; but the most important is to provide a place for us to WORSHIP in a way that effectively reaches our hearts and our minds.  This isn’t rocket science. It’s just the basic stuff we all need as we seek to follow where God leads.

Check us and this website out, and then come visit us for worship. If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to call or email me.

Special Mission Offering

We will be taking a special mission offering on May 20, to help support Table One -- a local ministry to feef the poor.  Table One is a unique ministry to meet the need of hunger and poverty in Hardin Coun ty.  Their philosophy is, "pay as you are able," ... in other words -- pay what you can, and if you are able, pay it forward so tht another who is hungry might eat.  Please be generous as you support this much needed ministry in Hardin County.

Recognition of Graduates

On Sunday, June 3, we will recognize the accomplishemnts of those graduating from local high schools and college.  If your son, daughter or grandchild is graduating this year, please let the church office know by May 26 by calling 937-675-1368.
