R.O.C. Solid Children’s Ministry

Wow! The last year has flown by, and so many good things have happened with our children’s ministry and in my own life! Getting married made this a unique year for both Brian and I, and we are looking forward to being involved at Walnut Grove together.

The children’s ministry at Walnut Grove has been reaching kids in several different ways. We changed the time of Jr. YF to match the time of Sr. YF so that parents only have to make one trip to drop off and pick up their kids. We changed the name of our children’s ministry to R.O.C. Solid Children’s Ministry. We had a great VBS that reached dozens of kids, with a Veggie Tales Pirates theme. Our R.O.C.Solid Kids went to Camp Berry on an “Outdoor Adventure” to learn about trusting God and trusting each other. We had our first R.O.C. Solid Celebration, which included kids of all ages and their families. Sunday School is growing, and we started R.O.C. Solid Jr. for kids age 3 through 2nd grade. The children in 1st Service have shared their musical gifts with the congregation, and we continue to reach kids through Children’s Church at both services. And that’s not all! Thanks so much to all the parents and volunteers who have made our children’s ministry a success this year! The Children’s Ministry Team is planning some great things for 2010…join us as we build a foundation for a lifetime of faith! Look for the page in this newsletter for specific dates and events coming up!
